There is no official confirmation of this information. According to rumors, the “hot” version, prepared by the M division, will appear in the BMW iX3.
The history of the BMW X3 began in 2003, and since then the model has changed generations three times. The current “fourth” crossover (factory index – G45) debuted a month ago. It is known that such a new product will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year, the starting price in Europe will be 57,900 euros (equivalent to approximately 5.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

The predecessor had a “charged” version with an addition of the letter M to the name, but the new BMW X3, prepared by the sports division of the Bavarian company, may not have such a version. BMWBlog reports that the brand can get rid of the M-modification of the X-3. There has been no official confirmation of this information yet.
If the BMW X3 M leaves the lineup, the sportiest and most powerful version of the current crossover will be the current top-end X3 M50 xDrive. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, such a car is equipped with a 3.0-liter in-line petrol turbo six, the output of which is 381 hp and the maximum torque is 540 Nm. This engine works in tandem with a starter-generator (18 hp, 200 Nm); total power is 398 hp. (580 Nm). This car takes 4.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds”, its maximum speed is 250 km/h.
BMWBlog sources suggest that a charged version will appear in the future iX3 crossover. Let us remind you that this is an all-electric version of the X-3, which appeared in 2020. In the future, this model will change generation, and it is expected that it will be visually less similar to the version with an internal combustion engine. It is assumed that the new product will be created based on the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept, shown in March this year.
This version (if the project is really given the green light) will most likely be called the BMW iX3 M. According to preliminary data, the output of all-electric technology from such a “hot” crossover will exceed 600 hp. Earlier, the Bavarian company noted that all models of the new “green” family will receive sixth-generation eDrive electrical equipment with 800-volt architecture; details will become known later.

Nm). The total output is 208 hp and torque is 330 Nm. The crossover takes 7.8 seconds to reach the first hundred. The line also includes a mild-hybrid unit with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine, the maximum total output is 197 hp. and 400 Nm. This option takes 7.7 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h.
Also the new generation model has a plug-in hybrid version of the BMW X3 30e xDrive, based on a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine (190 hp, 310 Nm), which works in tandem with a 184 hp electric motor (250 Nm), integrated into an automatic transmission. Total power – 299 hp. and 450 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km/h in hybrid mode takes 6.2 seconds. The range when driving purely on electric power is 90 km (according to the WLTP cycle).
