A subsidiary bank of Rostec tested service routers for ATMs manufactured by NPP Istok named after Shokin of the holding company Roselectronics as part of a pilot project. The devices demonstrated full compliance with technical requirements, which makes it possible to replace similar imported equipment in the equipment of Russian banks in the future.
Service routers are telecommunications equipment for corporate-class access level networks. The equipment developed by NPP Istok is intended for use as communication devices between ATMs and the processing center via a wired or wireless network thanks to special data transfer protocols with support for encrypted tunnels.
The routers have a unique algorithm for processing data transfer traffic and a built-in switching processor. The equipment runs on domestic software and has the status of telecommunications equipment of Russian origin (TORP).
“In modern realities, it is critically important to equip the banking infrastructure with domestic equipment. And we are glad that NOVIKOM’s partner in this process has become a company from the Rostec State Corporation. In the near future, we plan to completely re-equip our ATMs with routers produced by NPP Istok named after. Shokin,” said Vladislav Bykov, senior vice president of NOVIKOM.
Testing of service routers was carried out jointly by NOVIKOM specialists and Istok engineers.
< p class="doc__text">“When working on service routers, we were guided by the stringent requirements of the banking sector for data transmission protection. As a result, equipment was created that provides a high level of safety. Thanks to the dynamic organization of tunnels between nodes, Istok routers guarantee reliable protection of the transmission of data on financial transactions,” said the director of digital transformation of NPP Istok. Shokina Vitaly Alexandrov.
