Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Supercar Is More Powerful Than Lamborghini Revuelto

The new American brand received a modernized twin-turbo V8 engine, the output of which is 1079 hp, and the maximum torque is 1121 Nm.

The Chevrolet brand belongs to the American concern General Motors, and the Corvette remains one of the most famous sports cars of this brand. Its production began in 1953, and the current eighth generation was presented in 2020. Now the manufacturer has declassified the new “hot” version of the model — Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

The main feature of the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is its “filling”. We are talking about a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine, it received the internal designation LT7. This engine is a heavily upgraded version of the LT6 engine found in the Corvette Z06 (unveiled in fall 2021). Maximum output is 1079 hp and torque is 1121 Nm. It was paired with a redesigned eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

It is worth noting that this figure is higher than, for example, that of the Lamborghini Revuelto hybrid supercar, presented in the spring of 2023. The total output of its power plant is 1015 hp, and it is based on a naturally aspirated V12 with a volume of 6.5 liters, working in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission of the DCT type (with two wet clutches) and with an integrated 150-horsepower electric motor.

According to GM estimates, the Corvette ZR1 has a top speed of over 215 mph (346 km/h) on the race track. The dry weight of the coupe is 1,665 kg, and the open-top version is 1,705 kg. The supercar is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes with discs that have a diameter of 400 mm in the front and 390 mm in the rear.

​The interior of the new car is the same as the C8 Corvette, but in appearance, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has several differences from the regular sports car. One of the most noticeable is the large additional air duct located in the hood. It not only allows for enhanced cooling of the powerful engine, but also helps to increase downforce at the front.

Another new version of the ZR1 received a spoiler with adjustable sides, a roof made of carbon fiber and other parts made of this material — a splitter located at the bottom of the front bumper, side moldings and air intakes. The profile of the model is decorated with 20- and 21-inch original wheels, shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The coupe has a split rear window consisting of two panels with a carbon fiber partition.

Buyers of the Corvette ZR1 will be offered the ZTK performance package as an option, which includes a massive spoiler, stiffer springs, different shock absorbers and a different set of tires — Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R. The Carbon Aero package allows for the development of over 544 kg of downforce when driving at maximum speed.

The new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will go on sale next year, the prices of the supercar will be announced later.
