Sercons Academy carried out the first inspection of the Svobodny Sokol plant

Certification expert of Sercons Academy Natalia Kulebakina conducted the first inspection control of the production of the Svobodny Sokol plant under the program of mandatory certification of products for compliance with GOST ISO 2531.

In order to carry out mandatory certification, last year the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology introduced the national standard GOST ISO 2531 «Pipes, fittings, valves and their connections made of spheroidal graphite cast iron for water supply. Specifications.» This standard establishes requirements and methods for testing pipes, fittings, valves, and their connections made of spheroidal graphite cast iron used for water supply and sanitation pipelines. The standard is identical to the international standard ISO 2531:2009.

In this regard, in accordance with the changes reflected in RF Government Resolution No. 2425 «On approval of a single list of products subject to mandatory certification and a single list of products subject to declaration of conformity», the products of the Svobodny Sokol plant are now subject to mandatory certification. Previously, they were not included in this list, and the company carried out voluntary certification.

Last year, when GOST ISO 2531-2022 came into force, the Svobodny Sokol plant underwent mandatory certification. The work was large and difficult, but the company's specialists were ready for it. The certification process began in May and ended in August with the receipt of a certificate. Now the plant annually confirms its validity, proving that production processes, including the raw materials and materials used, continue to meet the stated requirements and the plant continues to consistently manufacture products.

This year, the inspection control of production was carried out by certification expert of Sercons Academy Natalia Kulebakina.She checked the full cycle of the pipe foundry, including laboratory tests and the process of tracking samples at each stage. The expert visited the finished product warehouse and familiarized herself with the formation of quality certificates. She paid special attention to the fact that the products had a market circulation sign — the STR marking. In addition, she checked how all production processes were documented.

«The main thing is that the technological process of the products remains unchanged, the products continue to comply with GOST,» emphasized Natalya Kulebakina.

Following the inspection, Natalya Kulebakina confirmed that the Svobodny Sokol plant and its products continue to comply with the requirements declared during certification, and issued a positive act of analysis of the state of production.
