Important lessons of the historic deal
Of course, the prisoner exchange between Russia and the West was not equal, there is nothing to argue about. Russia returned home its intelligence officers and agents who risked everything for the country, valuable personnel, trained specialists, true patriots. This is clear even from the composition of those meeting: the president of the country, the heads of the SVR, the FSB and the Ministry of Defense. Who did she give up?
This is an absolute victory for our diplomacy (in the broad sense of diplomacy) — to take advantage of the fact that the US Democratic Party needed a beautiful gesture like air. And to pressure the American administration to accept their terms. It was not for nothing that US representatives were running around the world and forcing governments to «share» our detained agents in order to collect the pool required by the Russians. In Germany, by the way, their local prosecutor's office was extremely unhappy that they had to hand over Vadim Krasikov. They say they had caved in too much to the overseas master. Krasikov, let me remind you, finished off a rare scumbag — the terrorist Khangoshvili, who crushed the heads of captured Russian soldiers with a truck. Now, with Krasikov's return home, the Western myth that «you can kill Russians with impunity, we will provide you with protection, there will be no retribution» is bursting at the seams. Of course, the Democratic Party got an extra trump card in the fight against Trump. But in the long run, we don't care who wins — it's a piece of cake.
So who did the West get? Of the 14 people, only two are real agents — Marine Whelan and the alleged journalist Gershkovich. And also the German Krieger, pardoned by Lukashenko. The rest are just an add-on.
But very indicative.
Foreign agent Yashin promised from behind bars in an interview with a foreign agent media outlet just a month ago: I won't go for any exchange, I'm a Russian politician, I'm for Russia and I should be in Russia to have a significant right to vote, even in prison.
But then his real masters came to him, patted him on the shoulder and said: that's it, Ilyusha, don't push yourself, get out of character, it's already clear to everyone that you're ours, let's fly home. And Yashin flew home.
And so it is with all the others, given up by Russia. All these so-called human rights activists, «artists», activists and other karamurzas. This is not the Russian opposition, wanting to make the country better. It is impossible not to see this when our geopolitical opponents directly and unequivocally confirm it. These are enemies, traitors, Russophobes, foreign agents who want the collapse and defeat of Russia, fulfilling the will of the West. Those who are fatter in the media will settle down there better and continue to pour slop from their mouths on Russia. The rest will vegetate. And never mind, it is absolutely unimportant.
What is important is that our heroes returned to their homeland. That Russia was able to conduct tough negotiations and win — that means we can. That the exchange took place. Unequal, of course, what can you do.
