The Japanese mid-size pickup truck, intended for the American market, has been brought up to the 2025 model year. The first vehicles will reach dealers towards the end of the summer.
The third-generation Nissan Frontier frame pickup truck debuted in February 2021, and its sales in the States started in September of the same year. Since then, the model has acquired various special versions, although this did not particularly add to its popularity. Thus, according to Goodcarbadcar.net, over the past year, a truck of the Japanese brand sold 58,134 units in the American market, which is 23.7% less than in 2022.

Now the pickup has been refreshed: the updated version was assigned the 2025 model year. This model received a number of visual changes, but most of them are concentrated in the front part. The truck was equipped with a new, more massive radiator grille with a different pattern. It is connected by a jumper made of unpainted plastic with a brutal edging of the air intake integrated into the lower part of the front bumper. The fog lights are also designed somewhat differently.
In addition, the Pro-X and Pro-4X versions have a changed side design, and the profile of the refreshed Nissan Frontier is decorated with 17-inch wheels of a new design (included in the standard equipment). The color palette has also been expanded with a new paint option – Afterburn Orange.
The updated pickup in the SV version and above is equipped with a driver's seat with electrical adjustments in six directions, as well as a new touch screen (diagonal — 12.3 inches) of the infotainment system, which now has wireless support not only for Apple CarPlay, but also for Android Auto. The Pro-X, Pro-4X, and SL trims feature a four-way adjustable driver's seat, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera system.
All 2025 Frontier trims now feature a suite of safety systems that includes lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, high beam assist, and intelligent cruise control.
In addition, the updated pickup is available with a double Crew Cab and a long bed (the cargo compartment is 1.83 meters) in SV, Pro-4X and SL versions (previously only the SL version was offered). The manufacturer also managed to increase the maximum towing weight by 227 kg, now the figure is 3243 kg.

The equipment was not touched during the update. The refreshed Nissan Frontier has the same 3.8-liter V6 engine under the hood. Its output is 314 hp, and the maximum torque is 381 Nm. A nine-speed automatic transmission is offered in pair. The drive is rear or all-wheel drive.
The cost of the refreshed truck of the Japanese brand will be announced closer to the start of sales, which is scheduled for the end of this summer.
