MOSCOW, August 10 Honored Artist of Russia, actor Alexander Yaskov has died, the Telegram channel of the Lermontov Theater, where the actor served since 1978, reported.
The message specifies that the actor died on August 8, the cause is not indicated.
«Alexander Yaskov was a true theatrical legend. He is one of those actors who came to work at the Russian Theater straight from the student stage and remained faithful to the Abakan stage more than 40 years later,» the theater said in a statement.
The farewell to the artist will take place on August 11 in the Great Hall of the Lermontov Russian Drama Theater.
Yaskov was born on October 13, 1952. In 1978, he graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography and was accepted into the troupe of the Lermontov Theater in Abakan. During his theatrical career, Yaskov played more than 50 roles in productions based on various works by Russian and foreign authors, including: «The Dawns Here Are Quiet…», «The Rain Seller» and «The Triumph of Love». The actor also starred in the film «Men Wanted» together with Evgeny Kindinov and Yuri Kuznetsov. During his life, the artist received many awards in the USSR and Russia, including the titles «Honored Artist of the Republic of Khakassia» in 1993 and «Honored Artist of the Russian Federation» in 2000.
