The flagship crossover Chery Tiggo 9 was introduced at the beginning of the year, but now in China, native to the brand, the configuration has finally been revealed and preliminary prices have been announced , and local dealers have started accepting orders.
Recall that the closest relative of the “nine” is the Exeed Yaoguang SUV (it will soon arrive in Russia under the name Exeed RX): the crosses share a common platform, in addition, an adaptive suspension is also provided for the Tiggo 9. The new flagship Chery has become the largest SUV of the brand, its length is 4820 mm, width — 1930 mm, height — 1699/1710 mm (depending on version), wheelbase — 2820 mm (Exeed crossover is more compact). The Tiggo 9 also comes with five or seven seats, while the Yaoguang/RX is available exclusively with five seats.
Now Chery Tiggo 9 is offered to the Chinese with a 2.0 TGDI petrol “turbo four” (261 hp, 400 Nm), which is combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. The crossover has only front-wheel drive so far. At the same time, it was officially announced that the model will also have a classic eight-speed “automatic”, and local specialized media also write that the “nine” will receive all-wheel drive versions (it is possible that the export Tiggo 9 will have 8AKP and 4WD). The arsenal of the cheapest crossover includes: 19-inch wheels, matrix headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a scoreboard (combined dashboard and multimedia system screens, each with a diagonal of 12.3 inches), climate control, all-round cameras, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, auto-braking and lane keeping systems.

The “medium” version includes 20-inch wheels, “memory” for mirror settings, atmospheric interior lighting, heated seats (the front seats are also with ventilation), front parking sensors, a regular DVR, wireless charging for a smartphone, a separate “climate” control unit for second row passengers. Well, the top-end Chery Tiggo 9 is, in addition, a heated steering wheel, monitoring systems for “blind” zones and rear collision warning (including cross-collision), a projection display, a driver condition monitoring system.
