Skoda is preparing a new small crossover: the first image

It is assumed that the novelty will replace two models of the Czech brand at once — Fabia and Kamiq. Such an SUV will probably appear in 2026.

The Skoda brand is part of the German concern Volkswagen and follows the general path of “greening”. A couple of weeks ago, the brand unveiled its plans for the next few years. It is known that by 2026 there will be six electric trains in the range of the Czech brand, and by 2027 the total investment in the electric direction will amount to a total of 5.6 billion euros. According to the previously published scheme, one of the novelties will be the model, which is currently designated as «Small».

Skoda Small sketch < p>This all-new electric crossover is slated to debut in 2025. Obviously, this will be Skoda's smallest electric car, its length will be about 4.1 meters. In addition, it will be the most affordable «green» model of the brand: the company promised that the starting price tag would be approximately 25 thousand euros.

Earlier, Skoda distributed several sketches of the future novelty, which is still known under the in-house name Small. The images show a compact SUV with wide “squared” wheel arches, a traditional roofline, a raised hood, and a smoothed front bumper. So far, there is no official information about what exterior details this SUV will receive.

The designer of the Spanish publication Motor.es shared with us his version of the potential exterior of the small Skoda crossover. Judging by the render, the model can get a rustic-looking head optics, which is visually combined with a plug located in the place of the traditional radiator grille. At the bottom of the front bumper is a large air intake with a mesh pattern.

On the roof of the SUV with the code name Small, you can see full-fledged roof rails, at the bottom of the doors there are inserts made of unpainted plastic, in addition, the car on the render has black cases of traditional mirrors and the central pillars of the roof of the same color. The recessed door handles are also visible in profile.

It is assumed that the most affordable model there will be an interior that is different from the simplified version of the Skoda Enyaq interior. It is expected that, despite its modest dimensions, the SUV will have a spacious five-seater interior and a trunk volume comparable to the current Kamiq (that is, about 400 liters).

The new Skoda will be based on the Volkswagen MEB + platform ; it is likely that the basic versions will have one electric motor on the front axle, while the more expensive options may offer all-wheel drive. According to preliminary data, the maximum power reserve of such a crossover will be 450 km. The closest «relatives» of the SUV will be the serial electric cars Volkswagen ID.2All and Cupra Raval. In turn, it is assumed that the «Skodovsky» Small as a result can replace two models of the brand at once — Fabia and Kamiq. On sale in the European market, such a model is likely to appear in 2026.
