He was joined by his wife, Carrie, who recently announced she was pregnant with her third child, as well as his son, Wilfred, and daughter, Romy.

Clothed in a blue plaid shirt and dark blazer, Mr. Johnson was pictured smiling alongside the vicar in front of a colorful inflatable castle on May 20.

A local source said he was considered a good sport as he got stuck in the activity, winning the jackpot on a human fruit machine on his third try.

He also bought a cup and saucer from one of the stalls, which he quickly restocked into a tea tent.

The former prime minister and his family have recently moved to the area and a source said both Mr and Mrs Johnson have a “very visible presence” in the village.

The move to Oxfordshire has sparked rumors that Mr Johnson could try to “run away” to his old Henley constituency, where he would have a better chance of winning a majority in the next election.

But the current MP, John Howell, who announced that he was withdrawing from the next in a national vote, said it would only happen “over my dead body”.

When asked if he made a deal to have the former prime minister take over, he told ITV News: “I can absolutely deny it . I didn't make a deal with Boris Johnson, and I didn't make a deal with Boris Johnson.

“The Conservative Party told him he should stay where he is.”

Mr. Johnson's Companions have repeatedly dismissed suggestions that he wants to move to a constituency with safer prospects, despite the fact that polls predicted he would be ousted in the next election.
