>In their native Korea, the most prestigious passenger car Hyundai (cooler — only cars of the premium brand Genesis) changed generations last fall, where the sedan is called Grandeur. Now it's the turn of a car designed for foreign markets: a fresh «four-door» debuted in the Middle East — already under the export name Azera.

In terms of design, the foreign sedan repeated the Korean version, only the inscription with the model name on the trunk lid was replaced. Well, if we talk about the appearance in general, then it turned out to be spectacular: Azera/Grandeur got large vertical blocks of headlights and frameless doors with retractable handles, a diode strip flaunts on the “nose”, which acts as running lights and turn signals, the rear lights are also made in the form single line. In addition, elongated separate windows appeared in the rear pillars — this is a nod to the very first sedan (the new generation is already the seventh in a row for Grandeur, but the model turned into Azera only in the fifth generation).
Compared to the previous «four-door», the length has grown by 45 mm to 5035 mm, the model has added 5 mm in width (now 1880 mm), the height, on the contrary, is cut by 10 mm to 1460 mm. Wheelbase — 2895 mm (+10 mm). A Middle Eastern sedan should have 18-inch or 19-inch wheels (Korea also has 20-inch wheels).
A scoreboard was installed in the cabin, another display is located in place of the center console — it displays climate control and other functions. The shift lever is responsible for shifting gears. The steering wheel itself is stylized as a single-spoke wheel — this is another “compliment” of the first generation Grandeur. The front seats have head restraints on wide “legs”, the backs of the rear seats can also be moved.

As in Korea, Azera has a top version of Calligraphy, its chips are Nappa leather, metal and wood inserts (external features are darkened chrome). The sedan's equipment list also includes a head-up display, a Bose audio system, adaptive cruise control, auto-braking, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring.
In the Middle East, the new Azera will be offered in two versions. The first is equipped with a V6 3.5 GDI gasoline engine (300 hp), and the second is a HEV hybrid (that is, without the possibility of recharging from the mains) with an installation based on a 180-horsepower “turbo-four” 1.6 T-GDI (the total return has not yet been indicated , in Korea, the hybrid version produces 230 hp). The company did not tell about the Azera boxes, however, similar versions are sold in the homeland of the brand: the “traditional” sedan is equipped with an eight-speed “automatic”, the hybrid has a 6AKP. And in total, the new Hyundai Grandeur has four versions on the home market, you can also buy a model with a four-cylinder “aspirated” 2.5 GDI petrol (198 hp) and a V6 3.5 LPG gas engine (240 hp), both are paired with 8AKP. All “four-doors” are front-wheel drive, while in Korea, for a sedan with a top-end V6 gasoline engine, all-wheel drive is provided for an extra charge, but this version has not yet been announced for the Middle East Azera.
Orders for a new generation Hyundai Azera have already begun to accept, for example, in Saudi Arabia, but prices are available on request.
