Gareth Southgate hailed the return of Manchester City's triple heroes to the England squad but will likely resist starting their 'serial winners' in Friday's European Championship qualifier in Malta.

Tyrone Mings was recalled for his form with Villa after a year away from the squad in which he lost his starting place for his club at the start of the campaign.
