Last week, one of the brightest premieres of this year, the new generation Lexus GX SUV, took place. It is made in a completely new style for the company, which is perfect for off-road modifications, one of the variations of which we decided to depict.
The GX frame SUV of the previous generation has already become a real long-liver of the modern automotive market, having lasted on the assembly line with several restylings for as long as 14 years. Surely this was one of the reasons for such a radical change in appearance, since the new GX has absolutely nothing in common with its predecessors. But now it evokes associations with some models focused on serious off-road — first of all, Land Rover Defender. And for sure, the novelty will serve as the basis for numerous off-road projects, and we presented one of the possible options.

The SUV shown in the renders will receive a significantly increased ground clearance, not least achieved thanks to large wheels with off-road tires. The front bumper has been redesigned, it now has additional lighting, a winch and a pair of towing eyes. Another winch is located in the rear bumper, and a roof rack with a folding tent is installed on the roof, as well as additional headlights in front and behind.

The new GX retains the frame structure, but is now based on the GA-F platform already used by the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and its sister him the latest generation Lexus LX. The model still has permanent all-wheel drive and Torsen interaxal self-locking differential. To replace the atmospheric V8 4.6 with a power of 305 hp. came a biturbo V6 3.5, issuing 354 hp and 650 Nm of torque paired with a 10-speed «automatic». In the future, a hybrid version will also appear, which will receive a 2.4 petrol turbo four, an electric motor and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
