The budget sedan Saipa Saina from Iran changed its appearance and brand before coming to Russia

The transformed «four-door» has so far been announced only at home. The original model should get to us.

The Iranian company Saipa has not yet entered the Russian market. Let us remind you that the Quik hatch, Saina and Shahin sedans are promised, and two distributors plan to supply cars in the Russian Federation at once. Meanwhile, Saina had already managed to renew herself in her homeland. True, along with the image, the car also changed its brand: in Iran, a “four-door” was announced under the name Sahand from Pars Khodro, the “daughter” of the same Saipa. Well, we add that the original sedan, along with the aforementioned “five-door” Quik, traces its ancestry to Kia Pride from the 80s.

So, the Saipa sedan has been redesigned front and rear: Pars Khodro Sahand has original bumpers, grille, headlights and taillights. The door handles were also replaced, and the rear license plate moved from the trunk lid below.

Salon too redrawn, here is a different front panel, new tidy and a climate control unit, plus a multimedia system with a small “floating” screen. The equipment list also includes a sunroof, Iranian media also write about a rear-view camera and cruise control.

According to preliminary data, Pars Khodro Sahand will be offered with four-cylinder «aspirated» 1.5 with a power of 90 hp By the way, the same engine is put on the Saipa Atlas hatch (this is a restyled version of Quik). The sedan will be available with «mechanics» and some kind of automatic transmission (probably a CVT).
