We have already seen the restyled Geely Preface sedan (Chinese name — Xingrui) in spy photos, but it was a disguised test prototype. Now, “clean” pictures of a production car have been added to the database of the Ministry of Industry of the PRC. Recall that the four-door in service since 2020 is the most prestigious passenger car in the current line of the company. And this is the first sedan directly from the Geely brand, based on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, developed by the Chinese together with Volvo. By the way, last year Preface was modernized, but this time there are much more improvements.

The sedan has a new “face” — the bumper, headlights and hood were replaced. The radiator grille is also different, although the vertical wedges are still left (but they have become more massive). Geely Preface also got a new rear bumper, and the lights were made in the form of a single die. After restyling, the length increased by 40 mm to 4825 mm, the model added 11 mm in width (now 1880 mm). The height and wheelbase are the same — 1469 and 2800 mm, respectively.
Spies have previously looked into the salon, inside there is a new front panel, steering wheel and virtual tidy. In addition, Preface got a multimedia system with a vertical tablet, like the fresh crossovers Geely Boyue L (we call its predecessor Atlas Pro) and Boyue Cool. So far, only a hybrid version has been found in the documents of the Ministry of Industry (the pre-reform sedan does not have one) with an installation based on a 1.5 petrol turbo engine (163 hp). The current Geely Preface is available with a 2.0 turbo four with 190 hp, which is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox. In addition, sales of the old sedan with a one and a half liter four-cylinder turbo engine with a capacity of 181 hp will start in China just the other day. (also with 7DCT). The drive is in any case only front.

It is expected that Geely Preface with a new design will debut in the homeland before the end of the current of the year. It is possible that such a sedan will be assigned some prefix and will be sold in parallel with the pre-reform model.
In Russia, the Geely four-door is not officially presented, it has not been announced for our market. However, given the appearance of large sedans Dongfeng Shine Max and Chery Arrizo 8, the likelihood that Preface will be brought to Russia is increasing.
