Challenger 2 tank captured by Ukrainian military
The UK donated 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine earlier this year, the first donation from NATO — standard main battle tanks.
They have not yet entered combat, and the Ukrainian military has done everything possible to hide the movements of the tanks.
The clip released by the 11th Brigade is the second in recent days .
Over the weekend, pro-Ukrainian social media channels shared a video of the Challenger II driving down a tree-lined road at an unknown location.
It is still unclear which unit the tanks are targeting.< /p>
The 11th is an aviation unit that usually uses Soviet-style Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters, rather than heavy armored vehicles.
In April, classified American intelligence documents leaked to the Internet, which stated that the Challengers were assigned to a new unit called the 82nd Air Assault Brigade.
The same documents showed that the brigade was also equipped with German Marder tracked combat vehicles and American Strykers armored personnel carriers, suggesting that this unit is intended to be a fast offensive unit after other units have breached the Russian defense line.
However, the Ukrainian military has never officially acknowledged the existence of such a unit.

Last month, the Kyiv Post reported that the 82nd may be a fictitious formation designed to mask the true destination of the Challengers.
