«Business pickup» Changan Hunter Plus entered the Russian market

The Chinese brand model is available in Russia in two versions. The starting price of the truck is 3,309,900 rubles.

In the home market, the Changan pickup truck has been sold since the end of last year under the name Lantuo (aka Lantop). It is a luxury version of the Kaicene F70 model (remember, Kaicene is a sub-brand of Changan, and the F70 entered the line in 2019). Now an expensive version of the truck has entered the Russian market, and here the model has received a different name — Hunter Plus. By the way, Changan has been using the name Hunter for export markets for a long time, but it didn’t have any additions before. It is possible that the «Plus» was needed to avoid conflict with the UAZ, which has a model of the same name.

If in the Celestial Empire the model is offered to buyers who prefer an active lifestyle, then in the Russian Federation it was decided to promote the Hunter Plus as a “business pickup truck”. This car has a full-fledged two-row cab and a continuous rear axle with a spring suspension. The overall length of the Russian version of the truck is 5350 mm, width — 1980 mm, height — 1875 mm; distance between axles — 3180 mm. Passport ground clearance is 225mm, approach angle is 28 degrees, exit angle is 26 degrees. >As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, in Russia, the pickup truck is available with a petrol four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo engine, with a local specification, its power is 226 hp, maximum torque is 390 Nm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission; Changan Hunter Plus has a plug-in all-wheel drive with a BorgWarner transfer case. Note that in the home market, the model is also available with a 2.0-liter Great Wall turbodiesel with a return of 163 hp. (400 Nm), which comes with a six-speed manual, but there is no such option in the Russian Federation. p>Hunter Plus is offered in two versions — Comfort and Luxe. The equipment of the pickup truck includes: all-LED optics, the Followmehome light-delay function, roof rails, side steps, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, as well as silver edging for the side glazing line and “matching” door handles.

The Changan Hunter Plus salon received a multifunction steering wheel with an adaptive electric power steering, height adjustment of the steering column, perforated eco-leather trim on the seats, front panel and door cards, an on-board computer with a 7.5-inch color display, an integrated DVR (records HD video). The infotainment system has a touchscreen diagonal of 12.3 inches, a voice control function and six speakers. >

The list of equipment also includes frontal airbags, lane control, ABS with brake force distribution, assistants that help when driving on a slope (HDC and HHC), all-round visibility system, parking, light, rain and tire pressure sensors , the functions of keyless entry into the cabin, starting the engine with a button, as well as remote start. The top version of Luxe differs only in the presence of additional side airbags and electrically adjustable front seats with a heating function.
