The five-door will be the first model of the Chinese company's new line. The liftback will be available both with a hybrid installation and as an electric car.
In the photo of the Chinese Ministry of Industry, this Changan car was lit up in the spring, but now the manufacturer itself has distributed branded images and a short video. The model will open a new electrified Qiyuan series with a separate logo: the first-born is presented under the A07 index. By the way, before it was believed that a sedan was being prepared for the debut, but the novelty turned out to be a liftback.

Chinese specialized media write that the Qiyuan A07 is based on the EPA1 platform, on which Deepal sub-brand models (aka Deep Blue or Shenlan) are also built — the S7 crossover and, again, the SL03 liftback (formerly known as Changan C385). The length of the new «seven» is 4905 mm, width — 1910 mm, height — 1480 mm. The Deepal brand passenger car is more compact, but the wheelbase of the liftbacks is the same — 2900 mm. In general, if the SL03 is comparable in size to the current Skoda Superb, then the Changan Qiyuan A07 is already closer to the Volkswagen ID.7 electric car (there will still be an analogue in China — Volkswagen ID.Next).
The exterior features of the new liftback are a diode strip across the entire width of the front end (the main headlight units are installed below), retractable door handles and taillights made in the form of a single die. The interior is minimalist. There is no separate tidy, its role is assigned to the projection display. In the center is a giant touchscreen multimedia system. The five-door also received a “floating” tunnel (wireless charging pads were placed on it) and a glass roof.

Changan Qiyuan A07 is certified in pure electric and hybrid versions. According to preliminary information, the 258-horsepower electric motor was the first to go, the hybrid has an installation based on a 95-horsepower 1.5 petrol engine, which only works as a generator to recharge the battery. More details about the new liftback will be coming soon.

Recall that this year Changan brought many new products to the Russian market (the day before, for example, we launched the Hunter Plus frame pickup truck), however, none of them is electrified. However, Chinese brands are already starting to officially bring “greens” to the Russian Federation: in particular, the local Chery range has been replenished with the Tiggo 8 Pro e + hybrid SUV, the Hongqi E-HS9 electric crossover is preparing to start sales, and the Voyah brand from Dongfeng offers only hybrids and electric cars . So later Changan may well start selling their «green» models with us.
