The current third generation BMW X1 was introduced at the beginning of last summer, at the same time the Bavarians declassified a fully electric version of the model, which received its own name — iX1. Now the Bavarian company has prepared a «hot» version of the usual SUV — BMW X1 M35i xDrive — with a new (though not the most powerful in the line) «stuffing».

The X1 M35i xDrive version was equipped with an upgraded 2.0-liter four-cylinder biturbo engine, the return of which in Europe is 300 hp. (in the USA this figure is 317 hp), and the maximum torque (regardless of the market) is 400 Nm. The engine received a reinforced crankshaft, a different intake system, as well as improved injection, lubrication and ignition systems. p>The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The “heated” SUV has an xDrive all-wheel drive system with a rear axle clutch and a standard mechanical front differential lock. Hybrid makeweights in the “stuffing” of the X1 M35i xDrive version are not provided. The novelty also has a suspension with adaptive shock absorbers, and the ground clearance has been reduced by 15 mm.The new version of the SUV gains the first “hundred” in 5.4 seconds, and its maximum speed is 250 km/h. For comparison, the more powerful rechargeable hybrid and all-electric versions accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 and 5.6 seconds, respectively, and their “maximum speed” is 205 and 180 km/h. It is worth noting that the curb weight of the BMW X1 M35i xDrive is 1740 kg, the figure for the hybrid is 1935 kg, and the electric train is 2085 kg.

It is worth recalling that the plug-in hybrid installation is based on a 150-horsepower 1.5-liter gasoline engine, which works in tandem with a 177-horsepower electric motor; the total power of this system is 326 hp. (477 Nm). And the “green” BMW iX1 has a twin-engine unit (one electric motor on each axle), its output is 313 hp. (494 nm).
The «hot» version of the X1 M35i xDrive differs from other versions, including visually. In the list of other exterior details, in addition to nameplates, the design of slots in the lower part of the front bumper, as well as a spoiler in the upper part of the tailgate. You can also see four exhaust pipes (two on each side of the stern). Versions put either 19- or 20-inch wheels. The interior also differs due to decorative elements, and the crossover received a new BMW OS9 operating system. Sports seats with an illuminated logo are also available for an additional charge. a factory located in the German city of Regensburg (other versions of the model are also produced here, including the “train”). The Bavarian manufacturer said that the model will reach the US in October this year, and sales in Europe will begin in November. Prices will be announced later, the starting price of the BMW X1 in Germany today is 42,800 euros.
