The Conservative Party will not investigate allegations of sexual assault The Telegraph understands that against one of the candidates for the post of mayor of London.
Dan Korsky, a former adviser and Downing Street businessman, was accused in that he felt a woman's breasts at a rally in house number 10.
< p>Daisy Goodwin, a television producer, said she was attacked and was surprised and humiliated after meeting with Mr. Korsky to discuss an upcoming documentary.
His rep said he «denies any allegations of inappropriate behavior.» … in the strongest terms.”
Mr Korski has since applied to be the Conservative candidate for City Hall and is among the last three candidates to be presented to Conservative members in London in next month.< /p>
The Telegraph understands that Conservative Campaign Headquarters has no intention of investigating these allegations. A party source said there was no formal complaint to CCHQ and there were no witnesses to the alleged attack.
The source added that the alleged incident would not have been the subject of a party headquarters review if it had occurred at the time Mr. Korski was civil servants. The party believes that any investigation will be the responsibility of the cabinet.
But on Tuesday Downing Street suggested that the Conservative headquarters are responsible for this matter.
“Obviously these [charges] are from the previous government, so it’s not really for me,” a spokesman for Rishi Sunaka said. «All mayoral questions are questions to fellow politicians.»

Writing for The Times on Tuesday, Ms. Goodwin said: «As we both got up at the end of the meeting and walked to the door, the recession [special adviser] came up to me and suddenly put his hand on my chest.»
“Surprised, I loudly said, “Are you really touching my breasts?” The shoulder blade bounced off me and I left.
“While I believe that from a legal point of view, his actions can be called rape, I must say that I was not afraid. I was older, taller and perhaps wiser than a goof, and working for the BBC in the 80s I knew how to deal with scammers.”
Ms Goodwin later told the Times that she recently filed a formal complaint with the Cabinet.
Ms Goodwin first filed lawsuits against an anonymous adviser in 2017 but said she decided to name Mr Korsky in light of his application for election. «If this is a pattern, then Londoners deserve to know about it,» she added.
Mr Korski said he told the Conservative Party about the allegation before running for mayor .
He told TalkTV: “During the process, I was asked if there were any outstanding issues that the party might be aware of. And I told a party seven years ago that there was a story. I was never called by name in this story. As far as I know, there was no investigation. But I mentioned it in the party.”
After the accusation came up, he wrote to his campaign team trying to reassure staff that the allegation was not true.
In an overnight WhatsApp message reported by the Daily Express, he said: «To be clear — nothing came up at the time, nothing came up with me seven years ago when it was mentioned, and even now I don't know there was an official complaint.
“I know that simply denying such claims may not be enough to dispel the fears and doubts that may arise in your minds. I strongly believe in the importance of empathy, respect and the well-being of every person in society.”
This story first appeared when Mr. Korski was involved in a robbery with two other mayoral candidates, Moz Hossain. and Susan Hall. He left the event after being informed of the allegations against him.
A Conservative Party spokesman said: “The Conservative Party has an established code of conduct and formal procedures whereby complaints can be filed confidentially. A party will review all complaints filed under the code of conduct, but will not investigate unless the party is deemed to have primary jurisdiction over the other authority.»
