Kia Cerato new generation caught by spies: the sedan will change its image

The model will have a more aggressive look. It is assumed that the fresh four-door will celebrate the premiere at the end of this — the beginning of next year.

In many countries, including Russia, the Kia golf-class model is known under the name Cerato, in North America it is called Forte, but in Korea and China it is K3. The current generation debuted in 2018, restyling was carried out in 2021. By the way, in the home market and in Australia, along with a sedan, a five-door hatchback is also presented today. And now the next generation Kia Cerato is approaching: a disguised four-door was caught in the homeland of the brand, the photo was posted on the local Naver online platform in the MotorsJason community (user with the nickname 수원ll코7).

The sedan will change its image, the appearance will be made much more aggressive than that of the current model. The main features of the upcoming Kia Cerato are vertical headlight units (with a “continuation” at the top) and “fanged” taillights. In addition, the car will get quite large rear windows. Whether the hatch will pass into the new generation is not yet known.

The dimensions of the next four-door are still unknown. The length of the current Kia K3 sedan for Korea is 4645 mm, width — 1800 mm, height — 1440 mm, wheelbase — 2700 mm.

The paparazzi did not look into the salon. Most likely, a curved scoreboard will appear inside, that is, a virtual tidy and a multimedia system touchscreen hidden under one glass.

There is no technical data either. The current four-door model in Korea is available with a 1.6 petrol aspirator and a CVT, the hatchback is equipped with a 1.6 T-GDI turbo four and a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. In some countries, the range also includes a two-liter naturally aspirated engine.

The new Kia Cerato sedan is expected to debut later this year or early next year. Moreover, the Koreans themselves are not sure that the model will be left to them: they believe that the fresh four-door will be sold only in foreign markets. We will find out if this is so after the premiere.

As for Russia, new generation sedans, apparently, will appear only under the parallel import scheme.
