Buyers will be offered an electric five-seater Baojun-branded microvan. According to preliminary data, the novelty will have two battery options.
The Baojun brand was created by General Motors and SAIC in 2011 specifically for China. Initially, simple cheap cars were produced under this brand, then the range was replenished with more “status” crossovers, a minivan, a liftback and a station wagon. But, curiously, from a once super-successful project, Baojun turned into an average, if not an outsider, of the Chinese market, sales collapsed. But once the Baojun 510 SUV topped the list of the most popular SUVs in the country! In general, now the brand is being transformed – it is switching to affordable compact electric trains. So, last month, the Baojun Yep minicross with a Suzuki Jimny-style appearance started in China. And soon Chinese customers will be offered a «green» microvan Baojun Yunduo.

The novelty has an unusual appearance. Features — a streamlined body, a protruding bumper with integrated main headlight units (a diode strip of running lights is located above), retractable door handles and small taillights, united by a functional plate. In terms of dimensions, the Baojun Yunduo is comparable to golf-class hatches: the length of the “Chinese” is 4295 mm, the width is 1850 mm, the height is 1652 mm, the wheelbase is 2700 mm.
There are no branded photos of the interior yet, but even so it is clear that separate screens for tidy and a multimedia system were installed inside. It is also announced that the microvan has a full-fledged five-seat interior.
The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the technical characteristics. However, we already know about the engine, thanks to the «leak» of the Ministry of Industry of China: Baojun Yunduo is certified with a single 136-horsepower electric motor (most likely, it is located on the rear axle). Some Chinese specialized media write that the microvan will be available with two battery options — 37.9 and 50.6 kWh. The first should be enough for about 360 km of travel, the power reserve of the top version will supposedly be about 460 km.

Baojun Yunduo will start selling in China soon. Local media predicted models starting price tag of 120,000 yuan, which is equivalent to about 1,440,000 rubles at the current rate. . Thus, there is a chance that in the future the Baojun Yunduo electric car will also get a bow tie and go to conquer poor markets.
