Due to the weakening of the ruble, prices in the Russian car market will increase in the summer

According to published data, Russian car dealers predict an increase in the cost of new cars by 5-10% in summer. Obviously, the rise in price is associated with the depreciation of the ruble against the major world currencies.

It is reported that Chinese brands have already begun recalculating prices for their models — changes in the ruble exchange rate will be included in the price tags over the next two months. It is noteworthy that European brands are expected to increase prices by 8-12%.

It is worth noting that ruble Russian car enthusiasts still have a hope that car dealers will not have time to raise prices by  the moment when the exchange rate of the national currency stabilizes. According to  the president of the association «Russian Car Dealers», this time the change in prices for new cars will take place gradually.
