Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max received a new engine and all-wheel drive in Russia

Like the front-wheel-drive Max, the new version has a fairly rich package. Sales will start in the coming days.

The SUV with the long name Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max reached the Russian Federation at the very beginning of this year. Recall that the cross differs from the model without the Max prefix in design: the more recent version has the original grille and front bumper, in addition, a scoreboard was installed in the cabin. Previously, all the «sevens» were presented in Russia with a 1.5 turbo engine (147 hp and 210 Nm) and front-wheel drive. And today, the local office of Chery announced the expansion of the range: Max has an all-wheel drive modification, and such an SUV has a different technique.

p>Tiggo 7 Pro Max AWD is equipped with a 1.6 TGDI petrol turbo four, however, we have it only slightly more powerful than the younger engine: 150 hp. and 275 Nm (by the way, the same engine is installed on the Exeed LX AWD). If the front-wheel drive «sevens» have a variator, then the new version is based on a seven-speed robotic box with two clutches. Ground clearance is the same 190mm as other versions.

The 1.6 TGDI engine can be «powered» by the AI-92. It is stated that the all-wheel drive Tiggo 7 Pro Max will pick up the first “hundred” in 10.2 seconds, while the front-wheel drive SUV will do this exercise in 9.8 seconds. The all-wheel drive system has six driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Snow, Ground and 4×4.

The Russian representative office of the brand also announced that the list of standard equipment of the Tiggo 7 Pro Max AWD includes the Chery Connect telematics system: it can be used to start the engine, track location and status car, open/close doors, save or delete travel history. The model also has a leather interior, a full winter package, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, lane change assistance, blind spot monitoring, automatic headlight switching.

Packages and prices will be announced in the coming days. The front-wheel drive Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max with 1.5T and CVT at the price list today costs from 2,759,900 rubles, the «regular» Tiggo 7 Pro — from 2,709,900 rubles (all prices are excluding special offers).
