From August 4 to August 6, the long-awaited cargo cross-country competition — the stages of the Russian Cross-Country Championship — took place on the track in Kozhino (Arzamas).< br/>
For many years in a row the track in Arzamas did not get into the calendar of the Russian Championship. And after almost a 10-year lull, the races returned to Kozhino. 25 pilots from different cities of the country competed in the two most spectacular classes: T4-3 and T1-2500. And more than 3,500 spectators came to watch these races.
And, yes, the races were really hot in every sense: the athletes showed their skills on the track, despite the fact that the temperature outside rose to +30 degrees, which was reflected in the state of the track, which had to be spilled more often.
After the qualifications in the T1-2500 class, the top three were formed: Rafael Fattakhov, Radis Khashimov and Mikhail Kostrukov. It was these pilots who fought for positions on the podium during the final races. None of the other athletes could «break» this trio. And according to the results of the final, the best became: Radis Khashimov — 1st place, Rafael Fattakhov — 2nd place and Mikhail Kostrukov — 3rd place.
In the T4-3 class, the fight was as intense as possible. This year the Russian Championship for the pilots of this group consists of only two stages. Therefore, the pilots had to immediately apply for victory. Alexander Krotov, who took first place in the final races, Roman Stepanov (2nd place) and Andrey Agafonov (3rd place) became the most prepared and professional.
The next, final, stage of the Russian Autocross Championship for these classes will take place in a little more than a month, on September 14-16 in Voronezh.
