The Czech company Edit Automotive from Prague will release only 99 copies of the Edit g11 restomod, the price is from 170,000 euros.
Previous generations of the Porsche 911 are increasingly becoming objects of restomodation: the greatest demand among collectors are variations on the Porsche 911 of the 964 generation, which was produced between 1989 and 1994, but the Czech company Edit Automotive was almost the first to take based on a fairly recent generation of 997, whose assembly line life lasted from 2004 to 2013.
The Edit g11 design project was developed by Petr Novage, who became famous in the past decade with the HN R200 supercar — this is a kind of reincarnation of the Skoda 200 RS coupe based on the Audi R8. In the Edit g11 project, the Czech designer wanted to achieve maximum purity of style and driving pleasure. As a donor, a wide-body car (modifications Carrera 4, 4S, GTS) with an engine power from 325 to 408 hp is required.

The lighting technology is also new — the headlights of the restomod are LED with luminous rims, and the taillights are stylized as early Porsche 911s, that is, they are narrower and lower than those of the original Porsche 997.
The engine is not boosted, but it is completely overhauled, getting new sleeves, new bearings and a new custom exhaust system. The suspension is fitted with Öhlins adjustable dampers. New forged wheels hide more powerful brakes than the donor car from the Porsche 911 GT3, and carbon-ceramic brake discs can be installed on request. A self-locking rear differential is also available as an option.

In the cabin, the outdated multimedia system of the original Porsche 997 is being dismantled, but you can leave the audio system to which Bluetooth is “screwed” -module for connecting external devices. The trim is completely new and yet more old-fashioned in appearance than the original Porsche 997. The new steering wheel has no spoke keys. The design of the central tunnel has been changed, on which a shortened gear lever is installed.

Petr Novage promises that each instance of Edit g11 will be unique , which will require quite close work with the client, which justifies the rather high price of the restomod with relatively few technical changes.
