From beginning of July to beginning of August more than 1,500 mechanics and 330 energy service specialists actively participated in repair activities. Director of the Engineering Center and "KAMAZ" Chief Mechanic Airat Galeev stressed that in the current year, work continued at some production sites even during the corporate vacation. This meant that maintenance crews faced an extra workload carrying out both scheduled equipment recovery work and emergency call operational repairs.
Plans for summer repairs were drawn up based on data on ;downtime of technological equipment requiring urgent recovery, obtained from the SAP TORO resource management system. Managers and experts carefully controlled the supply of necessary spare parts and materials, and also supervised the production of specialty parts at repair and tool factory in accordance with orders received from various divisions.
