Skoda continues to slowly declassify new generations of Kodiaq and Superb models, today the first official photos of the interiors, the main feature of which turned out to be three customizable
In June, Skoda revealed the main technical characteristics of the second-generation Kodiaq crossover, in July it did the same for the fourth-generation flagship Superb passenger car, but here the interiors of these two models have been declassified at the same time, because they offer the same set of innovations, the difference comes down to design details and small layout nuances.

So, the “second” Kodiaq and “fourth” Superb received a fully customizable virtual 10-inch instrument panel, complemented by a projection screen on the windshield, and a free-standing 13-inch multimedia screen. At Kodiaq, the front panel is shaped like a dumbbell, which visually makes it similar to its predecessor, and the instrument panel has two side visors instead of one upper visor — it's not very clear why they are needed.

At Superb, the front panel has a conditionally V-shape with a clear horizontal division, the upper part is a decorative row of vertical black rods that merge with the side vents of the ventilation system. The instrument panel of the Superb is covered by a traditional upper visor.

The design of the door cards of the upcoming Czech novelties is completely different, while both models have, as it were, floating handles for unlocking the locks. The automatic transmission selector has moved from the central tunnel to the right side of the steering column, the control of the Mercedes-style wipers has been moved to the left steering column lever, which, frankly, is a dubious decision in terms of ergonomics.

The Kodiaq and Superb will no longer have manual gearbox versions, so the central tunnel has become visually cleaner and more spacious. Interestingly, the Superb has a parking brake control button on the central tunnel, while the Kodiaq has it located to the left of the steering wheel on the front panel. Both models have a wireless charging slot for a smartphone, but the Superb is designed for one “handset”, the Kodiaq has two.

The Skoda Smart Dials system with customizable “twists” is presented by the Czech brand’s PR people as something revolutionary, although we have already seen a similar solution for Land Rover and a number of Chinese models, and Land Rover has already abandoned this solution by removing all climate settings on the screen of the multimedia system.< /p>
Skoda Smart Dials are three rotary-push knobs with 32 mm round screens built into them, which display the activated function. The outer handles can control air temperature, heated and ventilated seats, the central one — the volume of the audio system, air flow distribution, air conditioning modes, fan speed, driving modes and navigation system map scale. The central handle can only be loaded with four functions out of six possible at the same time, the setting is done through the screen of the multimedia system. Skoda Kodiaq
In addition, four USB-C ports with a power of 45 W for charging gadgets and a 15-watt USB-C port on the rear-view mirror are announced for easy connection of the DVR. The front seats can be equipped with pneumatic massagers. The base fabric trim is 100% recycled polyester, while the leather trim uses sustainable technology to produce the alternative leather trim. >New Skoda Superb
The full premiere of the new Skoda Kodiaq will take place in September, the new Superb will have to wait until November.
