The German brand has announced a «green» CLA Class prototype, which will be a harbinger of the «budget» line. The first production model based on the design will hit the market next year.

Mercedes-Benz has released teasers for a concept electric sedan called the Concept CLA Class. Officially announced that the show car will set the direction for a new «green» family of entry-level models. Well, as you might guess from the name, this line will still include CLA, only in the form of an electric car, and it should become the “entrance ticket” to the world of Mercedes: A-Class and B-Class, as expected, no heirs will be received.

The role of the head optics is performed by diode half-rings with three-beam stars in the middle, while luminous stars are scattered over the entire surface of the plug, imitating a radiator grille. Above the headlights there is an LED strip, and it is not just stretched across the entire width of the front end: this line passes through the fenders and floats on the doors. The first show of the Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA Class will be held in Munich before the opening of the IAA Mobility exhibition: the sedan will be declassified on September 3 (from September 4, the showroom will open its doors to media representatives, from September 5 to everyone).
