Another entry: Motorinvest restarts sales of the Dongfeng 580 crossover in Russia

The seven-seater SUV of the Chinese brand will be offered only in the top configuration, the price will be announced closer to the restart of sales.

The Dongfeng 580 first entered the Russian market back in August 2019, and in June 2021, a version of the seven-seater crossover with an updated interior and a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine went on sale. Now, the restart of sales of this SUV in the Russian Federation has been announced by the current official distributor of Chinese brand Dongfeng cars, Motorinvest LLC.

The crossover promised to the Russians cannot be called a novelty: the model under the name Fengguang 580 appeared on the home market back in 2016, in 2018 it underwent an update, and a year later a version with increase Pro. Also, this SUV in China managed to change the generation (in 2021). Judging by the pictures that accompanied the announcement in Motorinvest, a seven-seat SUV of the 2018 model will again be brought to the Russian Federation.

The overall length of the three-row crossover is 4680 mm, the width is 1845 mm, the height is 1715 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2780 mm . The seats in the cabin can be folded in six different combinations, which allows you to transport even bulky goods. The volume of the luggage compartment varies from 375 to 2215 liters.

The distributor noted that at the time of the restart of sales in the Russian Federation, the Dongfeng 580 will be available in a single configuration — the top-end Luxury. The list of equipment includes: parking sensors, surround camera system, keyless entry with engine start button, tire pressure monitoring, power sunroof, air conditioning and cruise control.

The family crossover received an infotainment system with a nine-inch touchscreen, acoustics with six speakers, and anti-theft system and built-in video recorder. The car also has a traction control system (TCS), a stabilization system (ESP/ESC), front and side airbags that protect the driver and front passenger.

Dongfeng 580, which will again be sold in the Russian Federation, is equipped with a four-cylinder petrol turbo engine SFG15T ohm 1 .5 liters. Its power is 145 hp and maximum torque is 220 Nm. A non-alternative stepless automatic transmission is offered in a pair. Drive — only front. Recall that earlier a version with a 132-horsepower 1.8-liter (176 Nm) gasoline «aspirated» SFG18 was available on the Russian market, which worked in conjunction with a five-speed mechanics.

Recommended retail price Dongfeng 580 will be made public closer to the restart of sales in Russia. Recall that in 2021, for this seven-seater crossover with the same “stuffing”, they asked for 1,899,000 rubles, but the current price tag will certainly be significantly higher.
