The diesel-powered pickup truck is leaving the Old World as the American marque, owned by auto giant Stellantis, intends to focus on electrified models here.< /p>
The Jeep Gladiator mid-size pickup hit the market in the spring of 2019 and is based on the same platform that powers the Wrangler JL. It is worth noting that the Gladiator was the first pickup truck of the American brand since the production of the Comanche model was discontinued in 1992. The Jeep Gladiator is currently also sold in the European market, but the model will soon have to say goodbye to it.

Stellantis has announced that the Jeep Gladiator is leaving the old-world market, as the brand intends to sell only electrified models here (and the Gladiator is equipped with a traditional internal combustion diesel engine). The European lineup now includes the Renegade, Compass, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee hybrids, as well as the Avenger crossover, which has an all-electric version.
Recall that, according to the plan of the auto giant, by 2025 Jeep will be able to offer Europeans three more completely “green” models, including the “square” Recon and the “rounded” Wagoneer S. The company has scheduled a full transition to the sale of exclusively electric trains by the end of 2030.< /p>
To make farewell to the European market memorable for Jeep Gladiator fans, the company decided to release a special final series, which was called FarOut. It is worth noting that in the States there is also an option with such an increase, and it is based on the performance of the Gladiator Rubicon, while the old-world version is based on Overland. in the form of high-gloss black 18-inch aluminum wheels, Mopar tubular footpegs, black fender decals, and a special-edition metal badge on the cargo area lid. Such a car has a three-piece hardtop in body color.
The interior of the Gladiator FarOut is trimmed in McKinley leather, and the seats are equipped with a heating function. The car received an Alpine audio system with nine speakers. Additional options include a lockable under-seat storage compartment, a fold-down cargo cover, an optional soft top, and a 400W/230V AC outlet.
Under the hood of the farewell version of the pickup is a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine, the output of which is 264 hp, and the maximum torque is 600 Nm . The engine is paired with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The car is equipped with the Jeep Selec-Trac 4×4 all-wheel drive system.
The special version of the Jeep Gladiator FarOut is already available for order. In one of the largest European markets, in Germany, the starting price is 77,500 euros, which is equivalent to 8.18 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
