One of the brightest premieres of this week's IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich was the Synergy concept of the Swedish company Polestar, which is part of the Chinese Geely holding. The Polestar Synergy is the result of an international design competition and a collaboration with Mattel's iconic Hot Wheels toy brand.
Hot Wheels has been working with automakers for a long time, as a result of these collaborations, hundreds of interesting projects have seen the light of day, embodied mainly in the form of toy models in 1:64 scale. The Hot Wheels brand was founded in 1968 as a purely childish brand: funny, often caricatured models with a strong die-cast metal body are designed to slide down a plastic track. Since about the end of the 90s, Hot Wheels products have become an object of collecting for quite an adult and wealthy public, rare models cost like real new cars — tens of thousands of dollars. Today, Hot Wheels releases models of almost all famous car brands, and now Polestar has joined them. It was announced at IAA Mobility that Hot Wheels would be releasing toy replicas of production Polestar models, with Polestar Synergy being the icing on the cake.

Polestar Synergy was born as a result of an international design competition: ten were selected from more than 600 participants, and then the jury left only three — two to work on the exterior (Devashish Deshmukh and Swapnil Desai from France) and one to work on the interior (Yingxiang Li from China). ). For half a year, the winners of the competition, together with the Polestar in-house design team, worked on the final look of the supercar, the result in the form of a full-size mock-up is presented at the IAA Mobility exhibition, from here Synergy will go on an international tour and sooner or later will be embodied in a serial toy.

How the Polestar lineup will develop further has not yet been announced, but given the fact that Polestar is positioned as a sports brand and keeps Porsche in the focus of attention all the time, the appearance of a flagship electric supercar in the product line would look quite logical — it would become the Swedish answer to German Porsche Mission X.

There is no information about the technical stuffing of Polestar Synergy, because there is no technical stuffing itself, but in the arsenal Geely already has several heavy-duty models, including the brand new Zeekr 001 FR, so finding the right hardware for the Swedish supercar is easy. The overall length of the Polestar Synergy is 4.56 m, the height is 1.07 m. The cockpit is designed only for the pilot, for landing it is necessary to fold the huge cover-cap forward.
