From September 14 to 16 in Voronezh at the Voronezh-Ring technical sports stadium, the final races of the 2023 Russian Autocross Championship took place. More than 80 athletes, 10 participating classes. Good sunny weather and a spectacular, emotional fight for the title of best pilot will long remain in the memory of spectators and fans, of whom more than 1000 people gathered at the Voronezh Ring.
On Friday, from early morning until late evening, qualifications were held at the stadium to identify the favorites of the final races. The starting position, the closest rivals, the tactics of the fight — all this depended on how the pilots performed in the qualifying races.
Saturday, the day of the finals, traditionally began with a parade of pilots: all the Championship participants drove along the track, demonstrating the variety of classes. Of course, the ZILs, the T3-4 class, which returned to Voronezh after a long absence, attracted the most attention.

After the parade, the final races began one after another. Probably the most emotional races for both spectators and pilots were the races of the “children’s” classes D3-micro, D3-mini and D3-250. Desperate and brave young pilots fought for high positions, leaving no chance for their rivals. After all, the team place also depended on the position in the personal ranking. And the main struggle took place between the pilots of the FASVO (Voronezh) and CSKA (Moscow) teams. Every point was important for the guys to bring their team to a higher position within the Russian Championship.
And the most spectacular races were, of course, the T1-2500 and T4-3 classes. The Voronezh track, especially its configuration, turned out to be very demanding on the skill of the pilots. Therefore, there was everything: departures, turns, and collisions. But it was all the more interesting for the Championship guests to watch the fight. So, for example, Khashimov Radis (class T1-2500), who was in 4th position following the qualifications, was able to take the lead and take first place in the Final, displacing the qualification leader, Mikhail Kostrukov, into 2nd position.
In the T4-3 class, the three leaders are Sergey Korotkov (No. 13), Roman Stepanov (No. 75), Dmitry Kozlov ( No. 93) – formed at the qualifying stage, and none of the competitors were able to break up their peloton.
Another rich in bright moments was the Super 1600 class, where the battle was for 2nd and 3rd positions. Demin Vasily (No. 40) was confidently in the lead throughout the entire race. His closest rival was Pavel Korpachev (No. 12), who, unfortunately, could not withstand the intensity of the fight and gave up his place to Alexey Matveev (No. 97).
The entire final racing day was dynamic, bright, and memorable. A great finale to the 2023 season.
