Like the gasoline all-terrain vehicle, the diesel one has a hybrid makeweight and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The model is offered with a five- or seven-seater cabin.
The Beijing BJ60 frame SUV, the size of the previous Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, appeared in the line of the Chinese concern BAIC last year, and until now the model was presented only with a 2.0 petrol turbo-four (266 hp, 406 Nm). Now the range has been expanded: orders for an all-terrain vehicle equipped with a new 2.0 TDi turbodiesel have begun in the Middle Kingdom.

The diesel engine is declared to be BAIC's own development and produces 163 hp. and 400 Nm. Like the gasoline engine, the heavy fuel engine is supplemented with a 48-volt starter-generator. It is also stated that the diesel engine can be started at -30°, in addition, towing trailers weighing up to 2500 kg is allowed. The gearbox is the same for all versions of the model — it is a classic eight-speed automatic. BAIC Beiling BJ60 has a rigidly connected all-wheel drive.
The diesel SUV is offered in two trim levels – with a five- or seven-seater interior. The model is equipped with LED optics, 18- or 20-inch wheels, a virtual instrument cluster (10.25 inches), a multimedia system with a 12.8-inch diagonal touchscreen, all-round cameras and a standard video recorder. For some reason they didn’t talk about the rest of the equipment. Expensive versions of the gasoline SUV also include heated and ventilated front seats (there is also a massage function), adaptive cruise control, auto-braking and lane-keeping systems.

For a five-seater Beijing BJ60 with a diesel engine they are now asking 264,800 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 3,479,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. A seven-seat diesel SUV costs 270,800 yuan (about 3,558,000 rubles). The price of a gasoline SUV in China starts at 239,800 yuan (3,151,000 rubles).
< p>Meanwhile, the BJ60 has also been promised to Russia: the model should appear before the end of this year, and for our market, assembly will most likely be established at Avtotor in Kaliningrad. At the moment, only a gasoline all-terrain vehicle has been announced for the Russian Federation, but it is possible that later our BAIC BJ60 will also receive a diesel engine.
