The Ministry of Industry and Trade introduced a ban on the parallel import of a number of Chinese cars

This change primarily concerns expensive cars from Chinese concerns. Now consumers will not be able to purchase these machines at lower prices than those set by the manufacturer. Parallel imports previously allowed buyers to receive cars at more favorable terms, since they did not include the costs of official deliveries and maintenance.

Experts indicate that this change will primarily affect Chinese cars , since car brands from Korea, Japan and Europe have already left the Russian market. Now consumers will be forced to purchase cars only from official dealerships.

Auto experts also note that official dealers who operate in the market will be in a more advantageous position, since competition from parallel imports will decrease , and prices for cars of these brands will be maintained at the level recommended by the manufacturer.
