The MB RUS and Avtodom companies are going to present a couple of models of the Chinese brand at the CarX exhibition, which will be held in Moscow on 10 -October 11.
The “Celestial” brand AITO is the result of a partnership between Huawei and Seres (remember, Seres, that is, the former SF Motors, is a subsidiary of the Chinese corporation Sokon created in 2016). The first-born of the new brand was the AITO M5 crossover, which is a restyled version of the Seres SF5: as Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the car received an appearance that is partly reminiscent of the design of the Porsche Macan.
AITO brand cars have now been brought to the Russian market: MB RUS and Avtodom companies spoke about this. Let us recall that JSC MB RUS was previously called JSC Mercedes-Benz Rus: the rebranding became known in late spring 2023. In turn, the Avtodom group of companies is the current owner of the Russian assets of Mercedes-Benz (the German brand left the Russian car market).

The “celestial” brand AITO will be officially presented to the Russian market as part of the exhibition “CarX: a revolution in the auto business”, which will be held in Moscow on October 10-11. The name of the premium brand is an abbreviation and stands for “Adding Intelligence To Auto,” which the importer translated as “adding intelligence to a car.” It is reported that Huawei is responsible for “intelligence”, and Seres is responsible for the production of cars.

At the CarX exhibition, the already mentioned first-born of the brand AITO M5 and the larger flagship crossover M7 will play the role of exhibits . It is known that both models are now available to customers at the sales and service centers of the MB RUS company.
AITO M5 is an all-wheel drive crossover with a hybrid powertrain, which is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a power of 125 hp, which works in tandem with two electric motors. The total output of the system is 496 hp, and the maximum torque is 675 Nm. It is known that this SUV takes 4.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds”. The car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 40 kWh, the total range of this hybrid exceeds 1200 km (calculation was based on the NEDC cycle used in China).

The five-seater crossover was equipped with a set of driver assistants, as well as an infotainment system with Huawei Harmony OS. The AITO M5 is 4770 mm long, 1930 mm wide, 1625 mm high, and has a distance between the axles of 2880 mm. The trunk volume is 369 liters, and with the rear seats folded down it grows to 776 liters.

The second new product is the AITO M7, the brand’s flagship crossover with a cabin designed for six passengers (the third row of seats can be folded into a flat floor ). Its length is 5020 mm, width – 1945 mm, height – 1775 mm, and a wheelbase of 2820 (60 mm less than the two-row M5). This SUV also only has all-wheel drive; it is equipped with a hybrid system, which is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine, which comes complete with a pair of electric motors; the battery is the same. The total power of the installation is 449 hp, the flagship needs 4.8 seconds to accelerate to “hundreds”, and the total range is 1100 km.
According to the official website of JSC MB RUS, the cost of the premium crossover AITO M5 on the Russian market starts at 6.55 million rubles, and the purchase of the flagship AITO M7 will cost at least 7.45 million rubles.
