The second generation BMW M2 G87 debuted last year, but the German tuning studio Manhart Performance does not want to say goodbye to coupe of the previous generation F87 and has prepared the most extreme upgrade for it – meet the Manhart MH2 700.
Manhart specialists practiced a lot and for a long time with the BMW M2 of the F87 generation and consistently increased the power of its 3.0-liter inline “six” up to 630 hp, but this, as it turned out, is not the limit, in the Manhart MH2 700 coupe the performance increased to a new level. It is based on the factory version of the M2 Competition, which was produced from 2018 to 2021 and was equipped with an S55 engine with two tube compressors (before 2018, the BMW M2 had an N55 engine with one turbocharger), its stock output is 410 hp and 550 Nm. Note that the F87 generation BMW M2 also had a top version CS, where the power of the S55 engine was increased to 450 hp. All BMW M2s have rear-wheel drive only.
In the Manhart MH2 700 coupe, the S55 engine received higher performance turbochargers, a new Manhart intercooler, a new main cooling system from CSF, a stronger crankshaft, a new intake system with carbon fiber components from Armaspeed, a new Manhart stainless steel exhaust system with a wastegate for a brighter exhaust note , a new control program and a number of other modifications, as a result of which the output increased to 715 hp and 815 Nm.

The 7-speed automatic transmission of the DCT type (with two clutches) also had to be worked on: more durable clutch discs were installed in it and the control program was rewritten, and for more reliable traction control, a Drexler limited-slip differential appeared between the rear wheels. Alas, it is unknown how all these improvements affected the car’s dynamics: the standard BMW M2 Competition coupe with automatic transmission accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 280 km/h.

The Manhart MH2 700 suspension is equipped with adjustable KW V3 Clubsport struts, and the standard brakes are replaced with more powerful ones: at the front – 395 mm perforated discs with 6-piston calipers from the F82 generation BMW M4 GT4, at the rear – 380 mm perforated discs with 4-piston calipers. At customer's request, Manhart can equip the MH2 700 coupe with even more powerful and durable carbon-ceramic brakes.

The body is also noticeably modified: a Manhart Clubsport roll cage is installed in the cabin, the rear seats are removed, and the standard front seats are replaced with lightweight Recaro Sportster CS buckets. The front panel and steering wheel are decorated with mint green inserts, and an additional Awron digital instrument display has appeared on the center console.

External features include a new hood with a profile in the style of the aforementioned BMW M2 CS, a carbon body kit (front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler, rear wing, rear diffuser), black oversized exhaust tips, mint green trim and Manhart vinyl decals. The look is completed by matte black Manhart Concave One wheels with double spokes, shod with low-profile tires measuring 255/30 ZR 20 at the front and 295/25 ZR 20 at the rear.
The price of the Manhart MH2 700 has not been announced, however Moreover, each such project is individual, as indicated by the inscription Limited 01/01 on the rear wall of the cabin.
