Usually automakers bring non-binding concepts and one-off projects to the SEMA tuning show, but Ford showed up this year to Las Vegas with a bunch of new parts from the Ford Performance Parts catalog that anyone will soon be able to buy.
This August, Ford Performance unveiled the masterpiece Ford Mustang GTD—the fastest and most technically sophisticated road-going Mustang in history. It would seem that the limit of perfection has been reached and there is simply no point in further practicing with the Mustang, but the fact is that the Mustang GTD is a limited and very expensive product with the price of a supercar ($300,000), there is a large market gap between it and ordinary, assembly line Mustangs , the Ford Performance Parts catalog should fill it out.
Owners of stock seventh-generation Ford Mustang GTs equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 Coyote (487 hp, 567 Nm) will soon have access to the FP800S compressor upgrade — it will be shown for the first time at the SEMA show, and sales will begin next year. The FP800S features a sixth-generation 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger with dual intercoolers, higher-performance fuel injectors, a larger intake system with filters, new control software and all the necessary parts for installation. The promised output power is over 800 hp

In addition to the compressor upgrade, Mustang GT owners can order from the Ford Performance Parts catalog a suspension lowering kit, reinforced axle shafts, an aerodynamic body kit in the style of the top-end naturally aspirated version of the Mustang Dark Horse, a Borla exhaust system and their favorite color decor for the exterior and interior. Ford will later offer a separate compressor upgrade for the Mustang Dark Horse.
