Avito Special equipment: growth recorded for road construction equipment

Avito Special Equipment experts analyzed data on new road construction equipment and operating time on the platform from January to October 2023. According to Avito Special Equipment, in Russia the demand for new equipment in the period January-October increased by 54%, for equipment with operating time – by 7.10% compared to the same period last year. The supply for new DST equipment increased by 182%, for equipment with operating time – by 16.20%. The average price for new equipment increased by 44.7%. The price increase for DST equipment with operating time was 7.80%.

The largest increase in demand for new DST equipment on the platform is observed for crawler cranes (+429%), concrete pump (45.4%), concrete mixers (+40%), road rollers (15.3%), motor graders (+12.8).

The greatest interest in DST equipment with experience at the federal level remains in HDD installations: demand growth was +42.30% year on year. Demand for crawler cranes amounted to +20.80% year-on-year for the same period.

The largest supply for new DST equipment on the platform is observed for concrete mixer trucks – supply growth in January-October 2023 amounted to +441.8% on the platform. In second place are road rollers (+407%). In third place are motor graders: supply increased by 83.50% year-on-year over the same period.

In road construction equipment with operating time, the concrete mixer truck remains the most popular. In general, it is concrete mixer trucks that account for the leadership in the absolute indicator of interest – 0.70% of the total demand in the category of road construction equipment. The supply for concrete mixer trucks exceeded last year’s data with an increase of up to 0.80% of the total.

The largest increase in supply is also observed for this equipment – by 34.70% for January-October 2023, year by the year. In second place is the drilling rig. Supply increased year-on-year over the same period by 4.3%. On the third there is a concrete pump. Supply growth was 16.50% year on year.
