The premiere of the mysterious model of the Japanese brand will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show in the middle of this month.
Subaru has stocked up on enough new products for several relatively recent events. So, in July, as part of the Subiefest festival in California, the BRZ tS was presented, and in early October, at a similar event in Florida, the “charged” WRX TR sedan debuted. In addition, the Japanese company brought several exhibits to the Japan Mobility Show: we are talking about the conceptual two-door Sport Mobility, as well as a limited version of the Forester Special Edition crossover. Now the Japanese manufacturer has announced another new product.

So far, the American division of Subaru has not named the name of the upcoming model; the announcement only says that a “completely new, completely redesigned” brand car is being prepared for its debut. The new product will probably be in the SUV segment. It is known that the world premiere of the Subaru car will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show in a couple of weeks, on November 16.
Teaser of new Subaru
The company has so far said almost nothing about the upcoming SUV, except that it will receive new technologies and increased safety. Subaru accompanied the announcement with a single, uninformative teaser: the picture shows a wheel with the brand emblem, as well as part of the body of the future new product.
The current line of Subaru crossovers includes Ascent, Crosstrek, Forester, Outback and Solterra. Obviously, the announcement could not concern the “green” SUV, since it debuted in November 2021, and its sales started in the middle of last year. At the same time, despite the short period of time on the market, the updated Subaru Solterra crossover was recently presented.

We can assume that the Subaru Crosstrek is not hiding behind the teaser, because the world The premiere of this third-generation model took place relatively recently, in September last year in Japan. For the same reasons, we can exclude Outback: the restyled cross-station wagon for the North American market was presented in the spring of 2022.
That left the Subaru Ascent, which underwent a facelift last June, as well as the Forester. The fifth-generation crossover debuted in 2018, and it underwent restyling in 2021. At the end of last summer, it became known what changes the 2024 model year SUV received. It is possible that behind the “half-blurred” photo there is a new “Lesnik”, the production version of which may appear in 2025. In this case, a pre-production prototype of the future Forester may be brought to the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Not It is excluded that a hybrid version will be added to the Forester line for the American market. For example, in Japan, the current crossover is offered with an e-Boxer installation, which is based on a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with a power of 145 hp, which works in tandem with a 14-horsepower electric motor. Note that in the USA the Subaru Forester is now offered with a “traditional” 185-horsepower 2.5-liter engine.
