The Qiyuan Q05 crossover has been added to the Changan range, and it is already familiar to us

The redesigned CS55 Plus with a different filling is positioned as a separate model. This SUV will hit the home market before the end of 2023.

Launched in China this year, the electrified Qiyuan line from Changan is developing rapidly: the first crossover of the family was announced, it was named Q05. The SUV will join the large A07 liftback (available in the form of a serial hybrid or electric car), the A05 sedan and the smaller A06 liftback. The last two cars, let us remind you, were not made from scratch: these are hybrid versions of the Changan Lamore and Changan Uni-V, respectively. So the SUV is not the original model — a separate Qiyuan emblem and a hybrid filling went to the familiar and Russian Changan CS55 Plus.

However, not only the logo and equipment were replaced: as in the case of the “five” and “six”, the Q05 also differed from the donor in its exterior design. Thus, the cross has acquired a new front bumper with vertical running lights and additional luminous thin arc-shaped stripes. In addition, a smooth “nose” with a slot appeared, and the exhaust pipes were hidden under the bumper.

Internally, Qiyuan Q05 repeated the Changan CS55 Plus. By the way, the restyled Plus was taken as the basis for the hybrid SUV (it debuted in China in September, this one has not yet reached the Russian Federation), so the Q05 also has a touch strip under the central vents: climate control and other functions were brought to it (in the pre-reform CS55 Plus – physical keys).

The new series crossover is a rechargeable hybrid, the installation includes a 1.5 naturally aspirated gasoline (110 hp) and an electric motor with a power of 215 hp. There is no data on the battery yet.

The Changan Qiyuan Q05 will make a full premiere in the near future; the SUV will hit the home market this year. Most likely, cars of the Qiyuan line will subsequently appear in other countries.
