Luxury sedan Voyah Passion, which can also be bought in the Russian Federation: a new version is ready for debut

The new version was distinguished by its exterior design and filling. Such a four-door will hit the domestic market before the end of this year, then it may well be brought to Russia.

The large Voyah Passion sedan (this is the export name, in its homeland the model is known as Zhuiguang or Chasing Light) debuted in its native China at the end of last year, and now the model is available exclusively as an electric car. However, very soon the range will be expanded to include a rechargeable hybrid PHEV: the brand distributed the first corporate images of this version in September, and now fresh pictures have been published, in addition, the characteristics have been announced. Let us remind you that the Voyah brand belongs to the Dongfeng concern, it is considered premium, and only electrified models are produced under it.

Externally, the hybrid version differs from the electric sedan primarily in the design of the front end. Instead of a plug, a radiator grille appeared with many shiny elements repeating the brand emblem; The bumper has also been changed, plus the Passion PHEV lacks a pronounced “beak”. The rear has also been modified, but slightly: the trunk lid is divided in two by an additional light, while the model retains a retractable spoiler. Well, the hybrid also got wheels of the original design.

Inside, the hybrid sedan repeated the electric version, there is a two-spoke steering wheel, a display across the entire width of the front panel (consists of three displays) and a separate screen on the central tunnel. The seats have heating, ventilation and a massage function; in addition, the rear right seat can have a retractable footrest. The list of equipment also includes a head-up display, a facial recognition system and a variety of electronic driver assistants.

The Voyah Passion PHEV installation includes a 1.5 petrol turbo-four (136 hp) and a pair of electric motors (front and rear). The combustion engine works primarily to recharge the 43 kWh battery, although it can be connected to the front wheels. The total output of the hybrid is 530 hp. and 790 Nm. It is stated that on electric power alone the new version will be able to travel 262 km on the CLTC cycle, in hybrid mode – 1227 km.

The public premiere of the hybrid will take place on November 17 at the Guangzhou Motor Show, at which time pre-orders will begin to be accepted in China. “Live” sales in the homeland will start before the end of this year, and subsequently the Voyah Passion PHEV may well reach Russia.
