Accused in the case of preparing an assassination attempt Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov Maxim Druzhinin said that they planned to kill the TV presenter because of his professional activities and active support of a special operation in Ukraine. This became known during the consideration of the case in the 2nd Western District Military Court.
As reported by RIA Novosti, on November 13, the court is considering the issue of applying a compulsory medical measure against another person involved in the case, Vasily Strizhakov. According to investigators, he committed crimes in a state of insanity. Druzhinin was questioned as a witness.
According to the defendant Druzhinin, the participants in the murder were promised a reward from a curator from Ukraine in the amount of one million rubles.
We recall that during the court hearing the details of the assassination attempt on Vladimir became known Solovyov, namely, his possible scenario was voiced. The defendants in the case were planning to detonate an improvised explosive device or blindly use a food delivery man from a restaurant.
An assassination attempt on a television journalist was foiled in 2022. Several members of a neo-Nazi terrorist organization working on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine were detained on suspicion.
