ST. PETERSBURG, November 17 Russian President Vladimir Putin said that “liars they fabricate fakes” both in cinema and in journalism, and what does not fit into the “historical forgeries” is crossed out.
“Genuine art interferes with those who are engaged in falsifying history, and, unfortunately, there have always been enough of them… It interferes with pitting people against each other, so liars fabricate fakes in cinema, and in journalism, and in literature, and what does not fit into historical forgeries are simply crossed out,” Putin said at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.
He noted that entire layers of art history in Western Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America are being hushed up. “It was as if nothing had happened,” the president emphasized.
