Putin: entrepreneurs play a creative role in the development of Russian culture

ST. PETERSBURG, November 17.Domestic entrepreneurs play a creative role in the development of Russian culture, preserving the cultural heritage of the peoples of the country, and patronage of the arts should become a traditional item on the agenda of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
«Domestic entrepreneurs also play a creative role in the development of culture. They are engaged in preserving the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia, opening new creative spaces, including on the site of former industrial zones, replenishing the collections of our museums and libraries with the most valuable artifacts,» said Putin during the forum.

According to the president, entrepreneurs do this “at the behest of their hearts,” and such a mission deserves the deepest gratitude.
“»The process of participation of entrepreneurs in the development of culture is supranational, unifying in nature, which means there will be more initiatives from business, development institutions of Russia, economies, EurAsEC, BRICS, SCO. There is no doubt about this,» he added.
Putin also expressed hope that the topic of “business culture” and patronage of the arts will become a traditional item on the forum’s agenda.

The Ninth St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum — the forum of united cultures takes place from November 16 to 18.
