KRASNOYARSK, November 19 Three passenger planes were unable to land at Krasnoyarsk airport on Sunday due to strong winds in the region, according to the airport’s Telegram channel.
Earlier, the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed that in the central and southern regions of the region there is a strong wind, which at times becomes a hurricane, reaching 33 meters per second. The department warned that a sound warning system for hurricanes was operating in the region and asked not to panic and be careful. The Rosseti Sibir company reported that the Krasnoyarskenergo branch has been transferred to a special operating mode. In Krasnoyarsk, the wind blew away roofs and felled trees in 50 areas. The forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are on high alert.
“Three aircraft landed at alternate airfields due to strong winds. Due to weather conditions, the flight from Novosibirsk returned to Novosibirsk, Irkutsk – Krasnoyarsk departed went to the reserve in Novosibirsk, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – Krasnoyarsk went to the reserve in Abakan,” the message says.
It is noted that the airport is operating as normal.
