The exterior design of the five-door was redone in the style of other recent models of the Chinese concern, and there are new things in the interior. According to preliminary data, the equipment was not touched.
The appearance of the modernized FAW Bestune B70 liftback was revealed by the Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China back in the summer. Now branded images have been published, and the manufacturer immediately showed the interior of the car. Let us remind you that in its homeland the five-door debuted in 2020, and before that the “seventy” was a sedan (the B70 model has been in service since 2006).

The liftback has lost its fanged headlights and “Cadillac” lights: the Bestune B70 now has two-story head optics (running lights are located on top, the main headlight units are below), and a single plate flaunts at the stern. The model also received a new radiator grille with horizontal stripes, like the restyled Bestune T77 and Bestune T99 SUVs, the fresh Bestune T90 crossover and the Bestune M9 minivan. In addition, the front bumper was replaced. The car in official pictures has the usual door handles, but it is possible that retractable handles will be left as an option. Finally, the liftback received an updated Bestune emblem.

The length of the B70 increased by 45 mm to 4855 mm, the remaining dimensions remained unchanged: width – 1840 mm, height – 1855 mm, wheelbase – 2800 mm. The model is available with 18- or 19-inch wheels.
The display was left in the cabin, but the instrument panel and multimedia system screens were placed in a new housing, which is why the front panel had to be slightly redesigned. There is no longer a separate climate control sensor unit with washers; instead there is a narrow touch strip under the air deflectors. The central tunnel was also replaced, plus the liftback received a new transmission selector.

The FAW concern has not yet spoken about the equipment. The certification documents for the restyled Bestune B70 stated the same engines — petrol turbo-fours 1.5 and 2.0 with a power of 169 and 224 hp. respectively. On the pre-reform model, the first engine is combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches, the second is equipped with a classic six-speed automatic transmission. In any case, the drive is only front-wheel drive.

In China, the premiere of the updated Bestune B70 should be held in the near future. The liftback is also available in Russia; our sales officially started in the spring. The five-door is offered to Russian customers with “stifled” 1.5 and 2.0 turbo engines – 160 and 217 hp. The price list today starts at 2,450,000 rubles. As the local FAW representative office previously reported, in the company’s overall personal rating for the first 9 months of this year, the Bestune B70 occupied second place (1,974 units sold, ahead of the T77 SUV), so the restyled liftback will probably be brought to the Russian Federation later.< br />
