Expert Dandykin told us what the filling of a kamikaze boat will give us
A very interesting trophy from the category of “super-weapon of the Ukrainian Armed Forces” recently fell into the hands of our military. The unmanned boat “Magura V5”, with the help of which the enemy periodically launches attacks on Crimea, washed up on the western coast of the peninsula. Military expert, captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin, in a conversation with MK, told how the enemy could lose his equipment and how the boat, which itself sailed to the Russian shore, could be useful to our military.
The Ukrainian unmanned kamikaze boat “Magura V5”, with which the enemy tried to attack ships on the western coast of Crimea, fell whole into the hands of the Russian military a few days ago.
The high-tech unmanned vehicle in the West is called “one of the most promising and powerful representatives of his class.” Its range is more than 800 kilometers. This allows the enemy not only to carry out strikes, but also to perform various tasks related to monitoring and reconnaissance in hard-to-reach areas.
The boat can carry up to 320 kilograms of explosives. Our military experts do not rule out that the enemy used these very boats for the second attack on the Crimean Bridge.
The enemy “Magura” is equipped with a drone artificial intelligence system, advanced optics and sensors, which provides very high-quality images in difficult weather conditions.
After the miracle boat fell into the hands of our soldiers, one of the military Telegram channels commented on the event with an intriguing phrase: “Soon a surprise will await the enemy.” It seems that Russian military engineers are already studying the “gift” of the Black Sea.
According to military expert, captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin, this is not the first time Ukrainian boats have washed up on our shore. Last year, our fighters already caught relatively intact boats.
– Although these “kamikaze” boats are given Ukrainian names, in fact they are foreign-made: almost all the filling is Western, according to some sources, German. The biggest difficulty is to locate this boat at sea, since it is a semi-submersible type. On the other hand, we have learned to do this too.
He leaves behind a trace that is clearly visible. The rest is a matter of technology; destroying it is quite simple. This can be done even with machine gun fire, since it does not have any armor.
– They are used in every way. But most often they are filled with explosives and launched. The enemy blew up the Crimean Bridge with the help of these boats. Then two of the entire batch were blown up, and we then partially restored two damaged spans.
– The autumn-winter period has begun throughout the Black Sea – in Sochi, Crimea – storms have recently passed through. For large ships, a storm of 8 points can be critical; the same small fry will be carried out to sea even with a storm of 3-4 points. In such conditions, the boat “buries itself” – it is covered by a wave and carried out to sea. Similar cases, I think, will be repeated.
– Our guys will study all this. I think certain conclusions will be drawn about how to counter these boats even more effectively. But I do not rule out that our military already knows everything about them… Now the most important task is to detect and strike the places where drones are collected and stored.
– For now, shooting with a weapon is the most effective option. But it also makes sense to use helicopters and airplanes. It is even more effective to destroy them from helicopters, since detecting small unmanned boats is quite difficult… But I am absolutely convinced that in the near future we will find ways to quickly detect them.
