The head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, on the 1+1 TV channel, called former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson the man who convinced the Ukrainian leadership abandon the agreement with Russia in the spring of 2022 and continue hostilities.
According to Arakhamia, the conflict could have ended in the spring of 2022. He noted that at the negotiations then Russia made it clear that the main thing for them was that Ukraine accepted neutrality and pledged not to join NATO.

When asked about the reasons why Ukraine refused the agreement, he replied that this required changing the Constitution; in addition, Kiev did not have confidence that Moscow would fulfill its part of the agreement.
Also, Arakhamia admitted, at that time British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came to Kiev and said that he did not want to sign anything with the Russians.
