MOSCOW, November 28 Inter Miami Argentine striker Lionel Messi was not included in the symbolic team of the season of the North American Major League Soccer (MLS), according to the tournament website.
The composition of the symbolic team was determined by media representatives, MLS players and technical staff of the clubs.
The team of the season included: goalkeeper Roman Burki (St. Louis City), defenders Matt Myazga (Cincinnati), Tim Parker (St. Louis City), Walker Zimmerman (Nashville), midfielders Luciano Acosta (Cincinnati), Thiago Almada (Atlanta United), Hector Herrera (Houston Dynamo), Hani Mukhtar (Nashville), Giorgos Yakumakis (Atlanta United), Cucho Hernandez (Columbus Crew) , Denis Buanga (Los Angeles).
Messi moved to Inter Miami in the summer. He made six appearances in MLS, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Messi was previously named Inter Miami's best player for the 2023 season. The Argentine helped Inter win the first trophy in history – the League Cup, for which teams from MLS and the Mexican Championship are fighting.
